fits2tiff
FITS to TIFF image converter based on cfitsio and libtiff.
fits2tiff extracts slices of images in header-data units of FITS files that contain simple images or cubes.
Syntax:
fits2tiff [-v]
fits2tiff [-l {0|1|..|66}] [-v] [-F {1|2}] [-R {1|2|3}] [-c cutslow:cutshigh] [-g gamma] [-b binf] [-o outStem] [-C compr] fitsIn.fits
fits2tiff -r [-v] [-F {1|2}] [-R {1|2|3}] [-c cutslow:cutshigh] [-g gamma] [-b binf] [-o outStem] fitsIn.fits
where -l selects a color-lookup-table, -F flips the image up-down/left-right, -R rotates by multiples of 90 degrees, -c are cuts levels in the pixels, -g is a gamma correction exponent, -b is a integer binning factor, -C specifies tiff compressions, -r selects raw (non-TIF) output, and the argument is a fits file with optional [xlow:xhigh, ylow:yhigh] pixel region cuts.
