Edit Package mpc-qt

Media Player Classic Qute Theater

A clone of Media Player Classic reimplemented in Qt.

Media Player Classic Home Cinema is considered by many to be the quintessential media player for the Windows desktop. Media Player Classic Qute Theater (mpc-qt) aims to reproduce most of the interface and functionality of mpc-hc while using libmpv to play video instead of DirectShow.

apparently dev removed his github profile & projects (day before he said he quits because of burnout). Luckily I have backup copy with the latest commits in my obs repo*, and I did upload it to my github https://github.com/ahjolinna/mpc-qt

*as you can see here the copy is only ~1 day old : https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:ahjolinna/mpc-qt

Sorry, I'm seeing this only now.

Anything worth having?

I notice that pipewire-jack is needed, otherwise it complains about libjack.so.0 missing and wont launch

related to this https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1211926

pipewire keeps cropping up. I don't quite understand the bug, but do you think this might be solved by a mere runtime requirement?

Alexander Ahjolinna's avatar

sorry for late reply (didnt get a notification) .... a "mere runtime requirement" is enough, thats what I have on my git build.

Request welcome!

if I install mpc-qt on kalpa I get symbol lookup error: mpc-qt: undefined symbol: _Zls6QDebugRK11QDockWidget, version Qt_6

Can confirm the problem on Tumbleweed. I built the package against Factory and things worked again.

I surmise it's some library misalignment, if the problem persists after the next snapshot please file a ticket on bugzilla.
