Spotify-EasyRPM is a bash script designed to download the latest debian package from the Spotify repository and convert it into an RPM


* Set up a build enviornment on your PC and install rpm-build
* Auto download the latest version of Spotify
* Convert the debian package to RPM format
* Install the Spotify RPM
* Set up a automated cron job
* Create a local filesystem repo so Spotify can be updated alongside regular updates
* Fully unattended mode

  • 2 derived packages
  • Links to openSUSE:Factory / spotify-easyrpm
  • Download package
  • osc -A checkout multimedia:apps/spotify-easyrpm && cd $_
  • Create Badge

it seems Spotify has moved to use snap instead of .deb pkgs, as they haven't updated the .deb version to the latest : (

someone has made aur/pkgbuild version and doesn't seem that much different:
