When unpacking pw-protected archives, 7zip echoes the password during entry. There's an (unmerged) PR available, is this something to include here as a distro patch? https://github.com/ip7z/7zip/pull/33? Upstream issue appears to be https://github.com/ip7z/7zip/issues/10
This happens with 7zip-23.01-lp156.1.4.x86_64 as shipped in Leap 15.6, as well as 24.09 (15.6 package from https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/Archiving/7zip)
