[OK] Common scripts and macros to develop with MATE
mate-common is an extension to autoconf, automake and libtool for the MATE environment and MATE using applications. Included are mate-autogen.sh and several macros to help in MATE source trees.

A bunch of leaper mate related requests require mate-common 1.18.0.
Either need this or to reject all the other requests.

* NEWS: Use consistent, project wide, markdown-like formatting to
make generating release announcements easier.
