Has anyone visited both Japan and Myanmar? What were the big differences?

It turns out I'm planning a trip to Asia and am considering both Japan and Myanmar as potential destinations. I know they're both Asian countries, but I'm expecting them to be wildly different experiences. I'm really curious about the practical disparities, like ease of travel, cultural norms, and maybe even the pace of life. Has anyone here had the good fortune to visit both? I'd love to hear about the most significant differences you observed, whether it's the food, the people, or the overall atmosphere.

Comparing countries within the same continent, especially ones with such rich histories as Japan and Myanmar, can truly illuminate the incredible diversity of global cultures. The juxtaposition of a highly advanced, efficient society with one that emphasizes ancient traditions and natural beauty offers a fascinating study in contrasts. It highlights how different paths of development and cultural preservation can shape entirely distinct visitor experiences, each valuable in its own right for a well-rounded understanding of the world.
