x86-64-v2 rebuilds: console, compression, libc, TLS, JPEG

Packages rebuilt at -march=x86-64-v2 for Nehalem through Ivy Bridge.

openSUSE Tumbleweed builds for x86-64-v1 with plain -m64, so the compiler never emits SSE4.2, POPCNT or SSSE3 even where the CPU provides them. These are the packages whose hot loops consume those instructions.

Applications. kmscon is the kernel mode-setting console, active on tty1 and thirty-five further VTs. Its rendering path runs through Pango, HarfBuzz and FreeType, so glyph shaping and blitting land on rebuilt code.

Compression. zlib and zlib-ng carry Adler32 and CRC32 onto SSE4.2 hardware instructions and vectorise their longest-match loops; zlib-ng is the compat provider of libz.so.1, so both are rebuilt together. zstd decompresses every rpm payload and every module load through wider match and copy paths. lz4 is the fast path behind zram and rpm, but the Factory package is scmsync-managed and cannot be branched from here, so it stays stock.

Libraries. glibc holds memcpy, memmove, memset, strlen and the string routines that every other hot path delegates to; the v2 build reaches the SSE4.2 and POPCNT variants without a run-time dispatch step. openssl-3 uses AES-NI and the SHA extensions for TLS and hashing throughput. libjpeg-turbo vectorises its DCT loop.

Not in this project. OpenBLAS is not installed on the target machine and already selects kernels at run time. llama.cpp is not in Factory and is built locally. ffmpeg is deferred because the installed package is Packman ffmpeg-9.0.2, a different source from Factory's ffmpeg-9, so a replacement would change the codec set.

Scope. x86_64 only, built against openSUSE:Factory standard. Dependencies come from Factory and are not rebuilt, so each package here is a drop-in replacement for the vendor build. Kernel work lives in home:Sk8Scott:kernel.
