- packages for interesting FLOSS projects not packaged for platforms of interest

- repackaging of existing packages to tweak packaging decisions (eg. location of files, default settings)

- packages for newer versions of upstream not packaged by a distributions of interest

- packages related to hardware I own that isn't supported in existing repositories (eg. laptop)

- packages for personal forks of FLOSS projects
- to meet personal needs
- enhancements/tweaks not of sufficient general interest to submit upstream
- enhancements/tweaks not accepted by upstream
- enhancements/tweaks to alter/remove compromises to privacy/security
- enhancements/tweaks to add privacy/security enhancements
- enhancements/tweaks to remove/disable features restricting freedom for proprietary/monetization reasons
