This is a project to create a new GNU/Linux distribution with my own personal vision to enhance the Desktop Linux. The main goal is to eliminate the concept of packet repository to the end users (still using RPM packages on the base system but hiding them to the end user), developing some kind of AppPackage/Klik concept to download and use applications, mantaining a tipical base system for a desktop linux KDE oriented with a clean QT + X11 (with the time, I would like to use some kind of Xgl, maybe when KDE 4 arrives finally). The base system is going to be built following the Linux From Scratch guides (LFS and BLFS), YaST will be the main application for system configuration and maybe openSuSEupdater the only interface to update the base system (as a whole).
The first build method is based on Automated Linux From Scratch, creating binaries tar.bz2 files (something like Slackware) but now I want to move to openSuSE RPMs.
In the end, Psylocibe OS will be something like a Desktop Linux openSuSE+LFS+Klik based.
