I wanted to use libvirt in user, non-system, mode but it would fail when starting with an error about missing 'interface' when attemtpting to connect to a user session in Virtual Machine Manager, I've rebuilt libvirt with the RPM spec file's "_without_interface" set to 1. This gets me what I wanted. Qemu and Xen have been pulled along for the ride due to dependencies and have been unmodified from their source location.
