It complies with standard 1.0 of Graham Nelson's specification. Originally written by Stefan Jokisch in 1995-1997. Ported to Unix by Galen Hazelwood. Reference code and Unix port currently maintained by David Griffith. - Compiles and runs on most common flavors of Unix, both open source and not. - Plays all Z-code games including V6. - Old-style sound support through OSS driver. - Config files. - Configurable error checking. - Uses of the Quetzal file format. Converting from old-style and Quetzal is difficult if not impossible. As a result, you can't restore an old-style save and then save your game in Quetzal. - Optional speech synthesis and recognition through FLITE and Sphinx. For information on what Interactive Fiction is and how to play it, see the file "HOW_TO_PLAY". %package -n dfrotz Summary: The dumb frotz client for bots etc %description -n dfrotz This subpackage contains "dumb" frotz which can be used to integrate interactive fiction games into other applications %package x11 Summary: The X11 version of frotz Requires: %{name} = %{version} %description x11 This package contains frotz with X11 support %package sdl Summary: Frotz with SDL Support Requires: %{name} = %{version} %description sdl This package contains frotz with SDL support %prep %setup -q %build %make_build \ CURSES="ncursesw" \ OPTS="%{optflags}" \ all dumb x11 sdl %install %make_install CURSES='ncursesw' PREFIX=%{_prefix} MAN_PREFIX=%{_datadir} install_all install_dumb install_sdl install_x11 mkdir -p %{buildroot}%{_sysconfdir} touch %{buildroot}%{_sysconfdir}/frotz.conf %files %doc AUTHORS ChangeLog DUMB HOW_TO_PLAY README README.1st TODO %license COPYING %{_bindir}/%{name} %config(noreplace) %{_sysconfdir}/frotz.conf %{_mandir}/man6/%{name}.6%{?ext_man} %files -n dfrotz %{_bindir}/dfrotz %{_mandir}/man6/dfrotz.6%{?ext_man} %files x11 %{_bindir}/xfrotz %{_mandir}/man6/xfrotz.6%{?ext_man} %dir %{_datadir}/fonts/X11 %dir %{_datadir}/fonts/X11/zork %{_datadir}/fonts/X11/zork/* %files sdl %{_bindir}/sfrotz %{_mandir}/man6/sfrotz.6%{?ext_man} %changelog
