I'd like to maintain this package in the hardware devel project with the goal to have it included in Factory.
It's a keyboard daemon at the system level (independent of Xorg, Wayland, etc) allowing advanced remappings. It is actively and maintained upstream.

Is the key remapping in udev insufficient?
This is for more advanced remappings such as layers and more (see project description), replicating some functionality found in custom keyboard firmwares such as QMK. It's very lightweight and well maintained. Another comparable project (that's unfortunately not in OBS either) is kmonad.
