just a headsup, before accepting this this SR, this PR [0] needs to be merged and greybeard branding package sources need to be updated

Thanks for the heads up..done, accepting
adding the gtk portal may not be enough. Having it installed i am still not able to click links from other flatpak apps to open browser, instead I get a GTK dialog warning me with "No apps available".
This gives some insights:
[mau@greybeard ~]$ gio mime x-scheme-handler/https
No default applications for “x-scheme-handler/https”
Solution is to have a mimeapps.list file living in your home dir. Example:
[mau@greybeard ~]$ cat .config/mimeapps.list
[Default Applications]
x-scheme-handler/http=org.mozilla.firefox.desktop
x-scheme-handler/https=org.mozilla.firefox.desktop
To be clear I don't see the mimeapps stuff as a blocker of this SR. I just wrote that stuff so that we don't forget to deal with it :)
