Backintime uses the keyring, which is not available for root. I use backintime with passwordless ssh keys. Even in this case (=no password needed or set) backintime tried to use the keyring. This patch simply uses keyring only if a password is set, else it uses the key without accessing keyring - which works in case the key is properly set.
