getmail was updated to fix security issues which may allow an
adversary to perform a man-in-the-middle attack by presenting
arbitrary or mismatching certificates and thus read authentication
data and content of IMAP and POP3 connections using SSL/TLS.
In addition this release fixes a number of functional bugs.
