The build failure of gdb is a direct result of this update, see: https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/openSUSE:Factory:Staging:A/gdb/standard/x86_64
How this? The default is /etc/intputrc even without setting INTPUTRC and I do not see how this simple change should cause this ... ?
Let's see ... local build of gdb is running with prefered packages included the latest aaa_base
[ 417s] + '[' -z -m31 -a -n ' check//unix/-m64 check//unix/-m32' ']'
[ 417s] + gcc -m31 -o biarch biarch.c
[ 417s] gcc: error: unrecognized command line option '-m31'; did you mean '-m32'?
[ 417s] + continue
[ 417s] + for BI in -m64 -m32 -m31 ""
... which is in the spec file
Hmmm ... this smells more like a false coincidence (none causal)
On standard build in devel:gcc/gdb I see also errors for openSUSE_Factory
Hmmm ... seems that the line
set enable-keypad on
in /etc/inputrc is the true coincidence
