Please zip up the man pages

Don't understand what you mean? Man pages are in the tarball and installed.

+install -m 644 man/man1/*.1 %{buildroot}/%{_mandir}/man1

@rjschwei if you refer to this that the man pages are installed 'uncompressed': that's fine like this - as there is a BRP process running at the end compressing the manpages - they always end up in .gz format in our RPMs

@dimstar thanks for the info. Still prefer the explicit route, i.e. have the gzip process in the spec file rather than depending on the implicit knowledge of having BRP

Not sure explicit is better - what, if we decide, to change to .xz compression for manpages? :)
