To me it looks good but as non-systemd there is still SLE-11-SP3 and SLE-11-SP4. The SP4 build/ works bit needs a bit tune to succeeded ...

Isn't that's only relavant if you want to ship this new version of xl2pd with the older SLE versions? I'm not really familar with the way SLE11 is maintained but can't you just branch the package from an older revision? I mean there are no security related issues fixed in this xl2pd release and users of those ancient (sorry for the term) distributions are probably used to not have the latest and greatest versions of software available.
