@dimstar, thanks, I see the .in file there, so I will do it there.
However about TW not having betas: that's correct, but isn't the openSUSE-release package copied to the next Leap version and then adapted?
Otherwise, how this code got into 15.1, even with the comment about the VERSION variable?
