This switches from a proper source URL to a local tarball. The _service file was apparently not used, because the .changes file doesn't have the proper format that changesgenerate would've emitted.
actually - it does: I'd seen it myself in service manager packages: osc service does not use the new format for changes files
and the rest of the format imrpvements in ,changes (indents) means this was a pckager not too lazy to actually work. In most cases, git changelogs are not very useful (many 'typo fixes' seen in git are not relevant)
Hi, I went through the "short" release notes upstream provided and put them into the package changelong with some fixes.
The package wasn't updated since a long time, hence the long list... do I have to get rid of some entries?
No; imho this is ok.
Thanks! :green_heart:
Yep, I used the
_service
file to generate the tarball, that's why I changed the source URL. Let me know if you have a better recommendation about how to tackle the source URL.
