The build on Leap 15.x fails even on 15.4... A side-effect of the python_module macro change? (It's not mentioned in changelog, too).
No, the python_module macro definition in the specfile is a noop in Leap 15 and TW, as it is already provided by python-rpm-macros.
Note that Leap 15.4 only provides Python 3.6 but FontTools require Python 3.7+, which is declared by
python_module devel >= 3.7since months.
