This is packaging of most recent Icecast. For those who want a recent version, but their distribution does not provide it (yet). They have been packaged by the Icecast maintainer. Icecast bugs should be reported to http://trac.xiph.org or the icecast@xiph.org mailing list. Packaging bugs should be reported directly to the maintainer.
Icecast is a versatile multimedia streaming server which can create (for instance) a private jukebox or "Internet radio station". It supports Ogg streaming using the Opus, Vorbis, Speex and Theora codecs, WebM streaming, as well as other legacy formats such as MP3, AAC, or NSV, and is compatible with most media players.

GNU Libidn is an implementation of the Stringprep, Punycode and
IDNA specifications defined by the IETF Internationalized Domain
Names (IDN) working group, used for internationalized domain
names.

Libogg is a library for manipulating ogg bitstreams. It handles both
making ogg bitstreams and getting packets from ogg bitstreams.

Ogg is the native bitstream format of the libvorbis (Ogg Vorbis audio
codec ) and the libtheora (Theora video codec).

libssh2 is a library implementing the SSH2 protocol as defined by
Internet Drafts: SECSH-TRANS(22), SECSH-USERAUTH(25),
SECSH-CONNECTION(23), SECSH-ARCH(20), SECSH-FILEXFER(06)*,
SECSH-DHGEX(04), and SECSH-NUMBERS(10).

Vorbis is a fully open, nonproprietary, patent-and-royalty-free, and
general-purpose compressed audio format for audio and music at fixed
and variable bit rates from 16 to 128 kbps/channel.

The native bitstream format of Vorbis is libogg (Ogg). Alternatively,
libmatroska (matroska) can also be used.

Libxml2 is the XML C parser and toolkit developed for the Gnome project.

This C library allows to transform XML files into other XML files
(or HTML, text, ...) using the standard XSLT stylesheet transformation
mechanism. To use it you need to have a version of libxml2 >= 2.6.27
installed. The xsltproc command is a command line interface to the XSLT engine

zlib is designed to be a free, general-purpose, legally unencumbered -- that is, not covered by any patents -- lossless
data-compression library for use on virtually any computer hardware and operating system.
