This is nss-pam-ldapd which provides a Name Service Switch (NSS) module that allows your LDAP server to provide user account, group, host name, alias, netgroup, and basically any other information that you would normally get from /etc flat files or NIS. It also provides a Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) to do authentication to an LDAP server.

This is implemented using thin NSS and PAM modules which delegate to a dedicated service (nslcd) that queries the LDAP server with persistent connections, authentication, attribute translation, etc.

Nping is a tool for network packet generation, response
analysis and response time measurement. Nping allows to generate network
packets of a wide range of protocols, letting users to tune virtually
any field of the protocol headers. While Nping can be used as a simple
ping utility to detect active hosts, it can also be used as a raw packet
generator for network stack stress tests, ARP poisoning, Denial of
Service attacks, route tracing, etc.

urlwatch is intended to help you watch URLs and get notified (via email or in your terminal) of any changes. The change notification will include the URL that has changed and a unified diff of what has changed.

The script supports the use of a filtering hook function to strip trivially-varying elements of a webpage.

sslh lets one accept both HTTPS and SSH connections on the same port. It makes it possible to connect to an SSH server on port 443 (e.g. from inside a corporate firewall) while still serving HTTPS on that port.
