Involved Projects and Packages
Postgrey is a Postfix policy server implementing greylisting. When a
request for delivery of a mail is received by Postfix via SMTP, the
triplet CLIENT_IP / SENDER / RECIPIENT is built. If it is the first
time that this triplet is seen, or if the triplet was first seen less
than 5 minutes, then the mail gets rejected with a temporary error.
Hopefully spammers or viruses will not try again later, as it is
however required per RFC.
The following features compared with greylist.pl from Postfix 2.1.1 are
new: Safe database, automatic maintenance, whitelists, lookup by
subnet, auto-whitelisting of clients, only Berkeley DB and no large
mysql nor postgresql DB needed.
SquidGuard is a free (GPL), flexible and ultra-fast filter, redirector,
and access controller plugin for squid. It lets you define multiple
access rules with different restrictions for different user groups on a
squid cache. SquidGuard uses squid's standard redirector interface.
CUPS-PDF is a PDF writer backend for CUPS. It is designed to produce PDF files in a heterogeneous network by providing a PDF printer on the central fileserver. It will convert files printed to its queue in CUPS to PDF and put them in a per-user-based directory structure. It can execute post-processing scripts, e.g. to allow mailing the results to the user.
We do not recommend to install this package on multi-user systems, like SuSE Linux Enterprise Server. Users can overwrite PDFs from other user, the spool isn't purged and can fill the harddisk fast, which can result in a denial-of-service for the whole system.
Printruler lets you merge multiple print jobs, edit them (delete pages, add blank pages) and do other cool stuff.
This projects provides new and updated packages for cryptography and privacy and their dependencies for maintained distribution versions of openSUSE and SLE.
