Involved Projects and Packages

The XML C library was initially developed for the GNOME project. It is
now used by many programs to load and save extensible data structures
or manipulate any kind of XML files.

This library implements a number of existing standards related to
markup languages, including the XML standard, name spaces in XML, XML
Base, RFC 2396, XPath, XPointer, HTML4, XInclude, SGML catalogs, and
XML catalogs. In most cases, libxml tries to implement the
specification in a rather strict way. To some extent, it provides
support for the following specifications, but does not claim to
implement them: DOM, FTP client, HTTP client, and SAX.

The library also supports RelaxNG. Support for W3C XML Schemas is in
progress.

This package provides bindings for libzypp, the library for package
management.

This application allows to upload/download files from Motorola P2k Phones,
upload/download seem records, doing seem backup, and editing seem using simple hex editor.

NEdit is a multi-purpose text editor for the X Window System, which combines a standard, easy to use, graphical user interface with the thorough functionality and stability required by users who edit text eight hours a day. It provides intensive support for development in a wide variety of languages, text processors, and other tools, but at the same time can be used productively by just about anyone who needs to edit text. NEdit, which is entirely a volunteer effort, benefits from a strong developer and user community.

p2k-core is a command line file manager application for Motorola p2k mobile phones.
Using it you can manage files and directories on your phone's filesystem, inlcuding "create directories",
this is the only one application on the world which can do it!
Also can manage p2k-3g phones, like Motorola RAZR maxx V6.

p2kCommander is a GUI for p2k-core, the file manager application for Motorola p2k mobile phones.
Using it you can manage files and directories on your phone's filesystem, inlcuding "create directories",
this is the only one application on the world which can do it!
Also can manage p2k-3g phones, like Motorola RAZR maxx V6.

This is a FUSE filesystem to make it possible to mount certain models of Motorola mobile phone under Linux.
To use it you'll need to have FUSE, libusb and p2kmoto installed on your system.
FUSE and libusb are probably available as part of your Linux distribution.
p2kmoto is less common. It's part of moto4lin.
You'll need the most recent version from SVN as it has some improvements over the released version.

The moto4lin software is intended to be used with Motorola telephones based on the P2K platform.

This package contains two recovery / forensic tools:

TestDisk checks and recovers deleted partitions. It understands all
common filesystem formats.

PhotoRec is file data recovery software designed to recover lost files
including video, documents and archives from Hard Disks and CDRom and
lost pictures (Photo Recovery) from digital camera memory. PhotoRec
ignores the filesystem and goes after the underlying data, so it'll
work even if your media's filesystem is severely damaged or formatted.

The popt package

some scripts to check for problems like test-installing the newly
created rpms and checking the logfile for errors.

This package will also set/change the following sysconfig variables, so
it may not be a good idea to install this to a running system:
/etc/sysconfig/security:PERMISSION_SECURITY="secure"
/etc/sysconfig/clock:TIMEZONE="UTC"

Pyrex is a language specially designed for writing Python extension
modules. It's designed to bridge the gap between the nice, high-level,
easy-to-use world of Python and the messy, low-level world of C.
