The United (Utilities) Repository project intends to provide reliable and trusted sources of useful/essential apps/libs and tools or utility packages. Effort is made to provide AUTHORitative, distribution and custom based software/projects sourced from the most recent/stable release, originating author, and most consistent packager/maintainer, and distribution teams. This repository mainly contains updates and upgraded/hotfixed packages, as well as new/exclusive contributions and (backwards) compatible libraries/software. Anyone, including distributors, are welcome to provide these packages as Contributions or repackage and create variants of them as needed.

Packages and/or binaries needed to kick (standard/factory) builds or other issues like versioning around.

Blueman is a GTK+ bluetooth management utility for GNOME using bluez dbus backend.
The aim is to create a full featured graphical bluetooth manager for Linux.

Features:

* Easy to use interface
* Storing Favourite devices
* Send files
* Browse files on devices
* List all seen devices
* View Local/Remote Device information
* Configure local devices
* Manage Pairing (Bonding)
* Host/Connect to Personal Area Networks
* Bind services to /dev/rfcomm ports, for eg. connecting via gprs
* Connect to Bluetooth headsets and use them as ALSA audio devices.

BlueProximity helps you add a little more security to your desktop. It does so
by detecting one of your bluetooth devices, most likely your mobile phone, and
keeping track of its distance. If you move away from your computer and the
distance is above a certain level (no measurement in meters is possible) for a
given time, it automatically locks your desktop (or starts any other shell
command you want).

The bvi is a display-oriented editor for binary files,
based on the vi texteditor. If you are familiar with vi,
just start the editor and begin to edit! A bmore program
is also included in the package.

Clam AntiVirus is an antivirus toolkit for UNIX. The main purpose of
this software is the integration with mail servers (attachment
scanning). The package provides a flexible and scalable multithreaded
daemon, a command line scanner, and a tool for automatic updating via
the Internet. It can be used in conjunction with AMaViSD-new and
Postfix to provide a combined e-mail filter for spam and viruses.

This package contains CmosPwd, a tool to decrypt passwords used to access
BIOS setups. Also included is other source and a Windows archive version
of the same and related tools.

Works with the following BIOSes

* ACER/IBM BIOS
* AMI BIOS
* AMI WinBIOS 2.5
* Award 4.5x/4.6x/6.0
* Compaq (1992)
* Compaq (New version)
* IBM (PS/2, Activa, Thinkpad)
* Packard Bell
* Phoenix 1.00.09.AC0 (1994), a486 1.03, 1.04, 1.10 A03, 4.05 rev 1.02.943, 4.06 rev 1.13.1107
* Phoenix 4 release 6 (User)
* Gateway Solo - Phoenix 4.0 release 6
* Toshiba
* Zenith AMI

With CmosPwd, you can also backup, restore and erase/kill cmos.

This utility generates a common metadata repository from a
directory of RPM packages.

D-Bus is a message bus system, a simple way for applications to talk to
one another. D-Bus supplies both a system daemon and a
per-user-login-session daemon. Also, the message bus is built on top of
a general one-to-one message passing framework, which can be used by
any two apps to communicate directly (without going through the message
bus daemon).

D-Bus add-on library to integrate the standard D-Bus library with the
GLib thread abstraction and main loop.

Mono bindings for D-Bus.

Python bindings for D-Bus.

QT3/KDE bindings for D-Bus.

D-Bus contains some tools that require Xlib to be installed, those are
in this separate package so server systems need not install X.

DirectFB is a thin library that provides hardware graphics
acceleration, input device handling and abstraction, an integrated
windowing system with support for translucent windows, and multiple
display layers on top of the Linux framebuffer device. It is a complete
hardware abstraction layer with software fallbacks for every graphics
operation that is not supported by the underlying hardware. DirectFB
adds graphical power to embedded systems and sets a new standard for
graphics under Linux.

This package provides only the 64bit and 32bit .so libraries of
version 1.1.1 for backwards compatibility.

dog writes the contents of each given file, URL, or standard input to
standard output. It currently supports file, http, and raw URLs. It is
designed as a compatible, but enhanced replacement for cat.

Doxygen is a documentation system for C, C++, Java, and IDL. It can
generate an online class browser (in HTML) and an offline reference
manual (in LaTeX) from a set of documented source files. The
documentation is extracted directly from the sources. Doxygen is
developed on a Linux platform, but it runs on most other UNIX flavors
as well. An executable for Windows 95/NT is also available.
