LIBPGEASY is a simplified C interface that hides some of the complexity
of LIBPQ.

This is the standard library for C++ programs that connect to a
PostgreSQL database server.

nmh (new MH) is a powerful electronic mail handling system. It was
originally based on version 6.8.3 of the MH message system developed by
the RAND Corporation and the University of California. It is intended
to be a (mostly) compatible drop-in replacement for MH.

nmh consists of a collection of fairly simple single-purpose programs
to send, receive, save, retrieve, and manipulate e-mail messages.
Because nmh is a suite rather than a single monolithic program, you may
freely intersperse nmh commands with other commands at your shell
prompt or write custom scripts that use these commands in flexible
ways.

DBD::Pg is a Perl module that works with the DBI module to provide access
to PostgreSQL databases.

PgAccess is a graphical interface and application building environment
for PostgreSQL.

pgAdmin III is an administration and management tool for the PostgreSQL
database and derivative products such as EnterpriseDB, Mammoth PostgreSQL,
Pervasive Postgres, and SRA PowerGres. It includes a graphical administration
interface, an SQL query tool with graphical EXPLAIN, a procedural code editor,
an SQL/shell/batch scheduling agent, Slony-I management, and much more. It is
designed to answer the needs of most users, from writing simple SQL queries to
developing complex databases. The graphical interface supports all PostgreSQL
features and makes administration easy.

This package contains the libpgtcl client library as a loadable Tcl
package. It is needed to access PostgreSQL databases from Tcl scripts.

The ppp package contains the PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol) daemon,
pppd, additional PPP utilities, documentation, and sample files. PPP
provides a method for transmitting IP and IPX datagrams over serial
point-to-point links, for example over a modem. The PPP daemon handles
the details of setting up a PPP link including configuring the network
interface and performing the PPP negotiations.

A client for the proprietary Microsoft Point-to-Point Tunneling
Protocol, PPTP. It allows connections to a PPTP based VPN as used by
employers and some cable and ADSL service providers. It requires MPPE
support in the kernel. Use the ppp-mppe package.

PoPToP is a PPTP(Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol) server solution for
Linux, it allows Linux servers to function seamlessly in the PPTP VPN
environment. This release supports Windows 95/98/NT/2000 PPTP clients
and PPTP Linux clients.

This package contains the ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) driver and
sample configuration files needed for applications to access a
PostgreSQL database using ODBC.

PyGreSQL is a Python module that interfaces to a PostgreSQL database.
It embeds the PostgreSQL query library to allow easy use of PostgreSQL
features from a Python script.

rinetd redirects TCP connections from one IP address and port to
another address and port. rinetd is a single-process server which
handles any number of connections to the address or port pairs
specified in the file /etc/rinetd.conf. Because rinetd runs as a single
process using nonblocking I/O, it is able to redirect a large number of
connections without a severe impact on the machine. This makes it
practical to run TCP services on machines inside an IP masquerading
firewall.

Note: rinetd can not redirect FTP because FTP requires more than one
socket.

RosettaMan is a filter for UNIX manual pages needed by TkMan. It takes,
as input, man pages formatted for a variety of UNIX flavors (not
[tn]roff source) and produces, as output, a variety of file formats.
Http-rman is also included. It provides access to the man pages via a
normal web browser.

Scotty is a software package which allows implementation of
site-specific network management software using high-level,
string-based APIs. The software is based on the Tool Command Language
which simplifies the development of portable network management
scripts. The scotty source distribution includes two major components.
The first one is the Tnm Tcl Extension which provides access to network
management information sources. The second component is the Tkined
network editor which provides a framework for an extensible network
management system.

Snack provides commands to play, record, process, and visualize sound.
It supports various file formats such as WAV, AU, AIFF, and MP3.

With Snack, you can easily create sound applications with Tcl/Tk or
Python or extend existing programs with sound capabilities.

is also a 'demos' subdirectory which contains examples for Tcl/Tk and
Python.

SpanDSP is a library of DSP functions for telephony, in the 8000 sample
per second world of E1s, T1s, and higher order PCM channels. It
contains low level functions, such as basic filters. It also contains
higher level functions, such as cadenced supervisory tone detection,
and a complete software FAX machine.

engine. Programs that link with the SQLite library can have SQL
database access without running a separate RDBMS process.

SQLite is not a client library used to connect to a big database
server. SQLite is the server and the SQLite library reads and writes
directly to and from the database files on disk.

SQLite can be used via the sqlite command line tool or via any
application that supports the Qt database plug-ins.
