Involved Projects and Packages
Various packages that are needed to build and run Qubes OS under openSUSE. Packages are sourced from Factory or from Leap 15.6 Updates (if they need to be compatible with existing packages).
Major included components:
- Python modules required by Qubes OS compiled against Python 3.10/3.11/3.12 including any tests (some Qubes OS components now require 3.7 at minimum)
- Packages containing Python subpackage: dnf, salt, xapps, bind, sudo, tbb, apache-arrow, gpgme
- Some component needs to be built against Python stack: xen, unbound (gnutls requirement)
- Qubes OS GUI tools requirements: xss-lock, pmount
- Some built packages require a newer version of: blosc, blosc2, boost-defaults, librdkafka, lcms2, zlib-ng, libjxl, lzham_codec, highway, libaec, libavif, libjpeg-turbo, libabigail, libwebp, googletest, openexr, libdeflate, filesystem, compat-usrmerge-tools, libyaml, libheif, openjpeg2
- RPM update for performance and compat: rpm, debugedit, python-rpm-packaging, perl-rpm-packaging, rpmlint, rpmlint-mini
- Build system update to GCC 14, LLVM 20 and compat: cmake, meson, ninja, gcc, onednn (enable openCL), llvm, llvm20, cmocka

Building certain Qubes OS components requires using custom GCC that differs from standard openSUSE version. Since it's not used for all components, it's stored as separate project from the main Qubes OS build requirements project.
