This package provides a script for building RPMs for SUSE Linux in a
chroot environment.

CMake is used to control the software compilation process using simple
platform and compiler independent configuration files. CMake generates
native makefiles and workspaces that can be used in the compiler
environment of your choice. CMake is quite sophisticated: it is possible
to support complex environments requiring system configuration, pre-processor
generation, code generation, and template instantiation.

This package contains tools for working with Debian packages. It makes
it possible to create and extract Debian packages. If Alien is
installed, the packages can be converted to RPMs.

This package contains the following Debian packages: dpkg, dselect,
dpkg-doc, dpkg-dev, and debhelper.

DjVu is a web-centric format and software platform for distributing documents
and images. DjVu can advantageously replace PDF, PS, TIFF, JPEG, and GIF for
distributing scanned documents, digital documents, or high-resolution pictures.
DjVu content downloads faster, displays and renders faster, looks nicer on a
screen, and consume less client resources than competing formats. DjVu images
display instantly and can be smoothly zoomed and panned with no lengthy
re-rendering.

DjVuLibre is a free (GPL'ed) implementation of DjVu, including viewers,
decoders, simple encoders, and utilities. The browser plugin is in its own
separate sub-package.

FastCGI is a language independent, scalable, open extension to CGI that
provides high performance without the limitations of server specific APIs.

GeoIP is a C library that enables the user to find the country that any IP
address or hostname originates from. It uses a file based database that is
accurate as of March 2003. This database simply contains IP blocks as keys, and
countries as values. This database should be more complete and accurate than
using reverse DNS lookups.

A collection of tools for the manipulation and layout
of graphs (as in nodes and edges, not as in barcharts).

html2text is a command line utility that converts HTML documents into
plain text.
Each HTML document is read from standard input or a (local or remote)
URI, and formatted into a stream of plain text characters that is written
to standard output or into an output-file. The program preserves the
original positions of table fields and accepts also syntactically
incorrect input, attempting to interpret it "reasonably". The rendering
is largely customisable through an RC file.

ImageMagick is an image display and manipulation tool for the X
Window System. ImageMagick can read and write JPEG, TIFF, PNM, GIF,
and Photo CD image formats. It can resize, rotate, sharpen, color
reduce, or add special effects to an image, and when finished you can
either save the completed work in the original format or a different
one. ImageMagick also includes command line programs for creating
animated or transparent .gifs, creating composite images, creating
thumbnail images, and more.

ImageMagick is one of your choices if you need a program to manipulate
and display images. If you want to develop your own applications
which use ImageMagick code or APIs, you need to install
ImageMagick-devel as well.

This package contains an implementation of the image compression
standard JPEG-2000, Part 1. It consists of tools for conversion to and
from the JP2 and JPC formats.

Some useful programs for a replacment of the shell functions daemon
and killproc found in the Linux System V init suite. killproc(8) for
signaling or terminating, checkproc(8) for checking and startproc(8)
for starting processes. Each program has its own manual page.

Secure, fast, compliant and very flexible web-server which has been optimized
for high-performance environments. It has a very low memory footprint compared
to other webservers and takes care of cpu-load. Its advanced feature-set
(FastCGI, CGI, Auth, Output-Compression, URL-Rewriting and many more) make
it the perfect webserver-software for every server that is suffering load
problems.

This is a small tool for 32-bit emulation in Linux/x86-64. It allows
you to execute programs that need a uname -m of i386 with uname
emulation. The uname -m is inherited by all child programs, but does
not affect the current shell or processes above it in the process
hierarchy.

Lua is a powerful light-weight programming language designed for
extending applications. Lua is also frequently used as a
general-purpose, stand-alone language. Lua is free software.
Lua combines simple procedural syntax with powerful data description
constructs based on associative arrays and extensible semantics. Lua
is dynamically typed, interpreted from bytecodes, and has automatic
memory management with garbage collection, making it ideal for
configuration, scripting, and rapid prototyping.

memcached is a high-performance, distributed memory object caching
system, generic in nature, but intended for use in speeding up dynamic
web applications by alleviating database load.

A new approach to package dependency solving

The perl module Devel::Symdump provides a convenient way to inspect
perl's symbol table and the class hierarchy within a running program.

This module can build the C portions of Perl modules by invoking the
appropriate compilers and linkers in a cross-platform manner. It was
motivated by the Module::Build project, but may be useful for other
purposes as well.

ExtUtils::ParseXS will compile XS code into C code by embedding the
constructs necessary to let C functions manipulate Perl values and
creates the glue necessary to let Perl access those functions.
