The GNS3 server manages emulators such as Dynamips, VirtualBox or Qemu/KVM. Clients like the GNS3 GUI controls the server using a JSON-RPC API over Websockets.

You will need the new GNS3 GUI (gns3-gui repository) to control the server.

  * Automatically add vboxnet and DHCP server if not present for
    VirtualBox GNS3 VM, (gh#GNS3/gns-server#2266).
  * Fix issue with controller config saved before checking current
    version with previous one.
  * Prevent X11 socket file to be modified by Docker container.
  * Use the user data dir to store built-in appliances.
  * Catch ConnectionResetError exception when client disconnects.

I am experiencing the same issue with gns3-server from the education repo. Some details provided below.
