This project was forked from rbenv and ruby-build, and modified for Python.

@mcepl: Just realized the bats package is missing and required by pyenv. Any chance to add this from, let's say, from devel:tools/bats?

Not here … it is not replacement for openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP*. It is maintained by a script only for Python-related packages.
