A Discord client implemented directly without Discord API.
WebCord is an Electron-based, third-party Discord client that wraps the official web app. Its main purpose is to provide a more secure, privacy-hardened, and customizable Discord experience.
Its philosophy and key features are:
* **Privacy Hardening:** The client actively blocks known tracing and fingerprinting methods used by Discord. It also manages permissions for sensitive APIs (like the microphone) and spoofs its user agent to prevent being identified as a non-standard client.
* **Security Focused:** It is written in TypeScript and emphasizes using the latest, up-to-date versions of Electron and Chromium to benefit from the most recent security patches.
* **Customizable:** WebCord allows users to configure its Content Security Policy, block features they may not want (like the "typing..." indicator), and supports custom stylesheets for theming.
* **Mobile/ARM Support:** It includes efforts to be responsive and functional on devices with smaller or touch-based screens, such as ARM-based devices and Linux mobile platforms.
