First of all, I would like to applaud you for committing a patch specified for kernels >= 5.6. I personally haven't tried this package yet, but cannot understand why you chose to exclude this package from factory.
Submitting it to experimental and hopefully factory would be appreciated!
@Icy_Thought if you want to maintain it, just submit it to a develproject and Factory. I am not going to maintain an ugly and dangerous external kernel module, which I rarely ever use.
I am afraid I lack the skill to maintain this kennel module. Thanks for the fast answer though!
