opus-tools

Edit Package opus-tools

The Opus codec is designed for interactive speech and audio transmission over
the Internet. It is designed by the IETF Codec Working Group and incorporates
technology from Skype's SILK codec and Xiph.Org's CELT codec.

This is a set of tools for the opus codec.

New package.

It's the equivalent of vorbis-tools for the OPUS audio codec.
Most of the time people will use some tool supporting libopus, but it's nice
to have the command-line tools. Also, some pieces of (not openSUSE packaged) software
depend on it (e.g. h264enc, xvidenc).

The libraries have been there since 12.3. And this package has lived in multimedia:libs
for 1 year already.
