ARPACK is a collection of Fortran77 subroutines designed to solve large scale eigenvalue problems.

Arpack-ng is the successor of the legacy Arpack. It is fully compatible with Arpack.

The version of this package in openSUSE:Leap:15.0 has installation issues and may not be installable:

can't install arpack-ng-devel-3.5.0-lp150.1.3.x86_64:
