OpenFOAM is a free, open source computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
software package produced by OpenCFD Ltd with twice yearly releases.

It has a large user base across many areas of engineering and science,
used in academic, government and commercial organizations.
OpenFOAM has an extensive range of features to solve anything from
complex fluid flows involving chemical reactions, turbulence and heat
transfer, to solid dynamics and electromagnetics.

- elmininate paraview-related dependencies from the spec. In the
future we will have a separate openfoam visualization module which
will hopefully sort out all of these dependencies.
Removing the dependencies here means that we can build on more
  systems.

Need to see what is happening here. The build looks successful, but only the nonarch bits (common, devel, doc, tutorials) are being updated on the download. The binary bits are not.
