Could you please add php8-redis (which is shipped by openSUSE distro). Many major PHP Projects require redis-server and, of course, a php client to it. Until ~ PHP 8.1.16 the php8-redis rpm from the openSUSE distro could be used (by braking dependencies), however recently a symbol is missing.
Thank you. However, I had trouble to find the right extensions related to this version of php (finally I updated to 8.2, despite I was looking for php 8.1).
There is no such thing as openSUSE distro, so it is impossible to tell which PHP version and build you're using. We build 8 different versions of this extension in OBS and at least two are build for PHP 8.1. It depends on which openSUSE version you use, which one is right for you.
@adkorte, you are right, this is the wrong project for this issue.
I think the issue explained has to do with updating from PHP8 to PHP81 in openSUSE Leap 15.5; while a php8-redis package is available in the distro and PHP8 is available in the repo-backports-update there is no php81-redis package available.
It would be great, if we could offer such a package.

Wrong project. This is a php extension and as such is already available in server:php:extensions.

We have one available in server:php:extensions/devel_languages_php_php81_tumbleweed
I'll continue on server:php:extensions.
