Overview
Any idea why is python 3.11 installed?
Also can this patch be conditionally applied and added to the develproject so that the devel package builds on Leap as well?
because of meson, meson from SLE-15-SP6:GA is now pulls python311 https://build.opensuse.org/projects/SUSE:SLE-15-SP6:GA/packages/meson/repositories/pool/binaries/x86_64/meson-1.3.1-150600.1.2.noarch.rpm
I can make this patch be conditionally applied, I have to replace %autosetup though.
Another solution is switch to build piper with python3.11 entirely on Leap15, all BuildRequires/Requires need to have python 3.11 version available, however I did a try and it doesn't...
Thanks for the patch! I had seen the issue on the devel project but hadn't gotten around to investigate what was causing the issue, yet. Really weird that it would pick 3.11 if 3.6 is the default. Would be really great if we can fix this on the devel project.
