The reason for it all is to be able to build Qt5 on other platforms, and qtlocation depends on gypsy https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:jayvdb:Qt5/libqt5-qtlocation

The %makeinstall -> %make_install problem is covered by https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Specfile_guidelines#Install_Section_.28.25install.29
