This is basically conflicts to rubygem-arel, not sure you're aiming to rename arel or something else, if try to rename arel please file a drop request against rubygem-arel.
@mlin7442 the problem right now is that the version 9.x auf arel is required by the latest rubygem-activerecord-5.2 version (which is 5.2.1). Since rubygem-arel is a SLE package, we would need to run through the ECO process to get it also updated to SLE.
Understood. But rubygem-arel in Factory is already 9.x thus rubygem-arel and rubygem-arel-9 is indeed conflicted. See the conflict message at https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/openSUSE:Factory:Staging:adi:82
Maybe another option to upgrade it to SLE by submit rubygem-arel(with 9.x) and rubygem-arel-8 to SLE or SLE maintenance? I'm not pretty sure though.
This wouldn't be a good solution. I talked to Ludwig and since we only need it for Leap, it's fine if I just submit it to openSUSE Leap 15.1 in that case. I'll submit this package again to factory when rubygem-arel gets updated to version 10.0 so that it would no longer conflicts.
