Avoid this please. If you don't want to put every NEWS entry in the changes file, just summarize it with something like:
It's not common for users read .changes files, NEWS one even less common.
Tbis is exactly what I've done: "+ Updated translation".
NEWS contains - in addtion to this "Updated translation" - a summary of changes between last stable release (3.28.x) and this new stable release, that's all.
I see no point to add it again to this rpm changelog (as it's already written, changes happened in unstable releases) but I thought it was relevant to precise that a summary existed it.
I can tell you it's not common to read rpm changelog too...
Oh, you're right. Those are changes already documented, in this case just strip this pointer please, and let 'Updated translations' alone.
Yes yes, but the one who appears in Tumbleweed's snapshot changelog is the entries from .changes file not NEWS.
Meh, just let it be. A reminder of the NEWS file won't hurt anyone.
