1.1 is still older than 1.3
We could rename it to version 1.10:
zypper vcmp 1.03ii 1.10 1.03ii is older than 1.10
They provides does actually that without renaming. It provides the same version with a zero attached. Provides: perl-SGMLS = %{version}0 Provides: perl(SGMLS) = %{version}0
Ah - interesting solution :) Let's see what staging comes back with. works for me (once they reach 1.4 we can drop it)
BTW: You did a lot of perl packages recently. Want to help cleanup the hanging packages in :autoupdate and the not-building ones in devel:languages:perl? I clean more than 100 on Sunday, but there are still a lot.
Yes, I just fixed my perl packages that were not auto-updating properly and added some missing dependencies in some of them. I'll drop you an email so we can coordinate.
Needs an Obsoletes for the old version as well?
Or simply ignore this - like I said the differences aren't worth much, it's only that 1.1 is the newest version and when we don't change now the issue only will be delayed.
