This is needed for a freetype2 security bug, actively exploited. Please either accept this as-is or merge into your changes and try to release before too long.

https://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=702985#c4 shows that the patch is from today so this cannot be fixed in the Ghostscript 9.53.3 upstream sources so I added your patch from here to my Ghostscript 9.53.3 upgrade. Thank you for the patch!

I am currently testing Ghostscript 9.53.3 from OBS home:jsmeix:branches:Printing ghostscript cf. https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1177922#c2 and so far things look good...

I submitted Ghostscript 9.53.3 with the fix here to OBS Printing project via request 843001 and also directly forwarded that to openSUSE:Factory via request 843002 cf. https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1177922#c3
