Varlink is an interface description format and protocol that aims to make services accessible to both humans and machines in the simplest feasible way

Kerberos V5 is a trusted-third-party network authentication system,

adcli is a command line tool that can perform actions in an Active Directory domain. Among other things it can be used to join a computer to a domain.

Provides a set of daemons to manage access to remote directories and
authentication mechanisms. It provides an NSS and PAM interface toward
the system and a pluggable backend system to connect to multiple different
account sources. It is also the basis to provide client auditing and policy
services for projects like FreeIPA.

This project is just a namespace place holder for all Samba subprojects.

- TESTING for all pre, rc or other version with ongoing development.

The MIT Kerberos build of Samba as an AD DC is experimental. This project builds Samba with its embedded Heimdal Kerberos version.

The cifs-utils package consist of utilities for doing and managing mounts of
the Linux CIFS filesystem.

Samba is a suite of programs that allows SMB/CIFS clients to use the
Unix file space, printers, and authentication subsystem.

The package named samba contains all programs that are needed to act as
a server. The binaries expect the configuration file to be found in
/etc/samba/smb.conf
