Hi @badshah400,

This release has problems with the cmake files. When I try to compile the dependent packages, I have as a result:

CMake Error at /usr/share/root/cmake/ROOTConfig-targets.cmake:1222 (message): The imported target "ROOT::TestSupport" references the file

 "/usr/lib64/root6/TestSupport/objects-RelWithDebInfo/TestSupport/src/TestSupport.cxx.o"

but this file does not exist. Possible reasons include:

  • The file was deleted, renamed, or moved to another location.

  • An install or uninstall procedure did not complete successfully.

  • The installation package was faulty and contained

    "/usr/share/root/cmake/ROOTConfig-targets.cmake"

but not all the files it references.

Call Stack (most recent call first): /usr/share/root/cmake/ROOTConfig.cmake:102 (include) validation/CMakeLists.txt:23 (find_package)

It seems one should do something like this https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/root/blob/rawhide/f/root.spec#_2416

Best regards,

Andrii

Sorry, my mistake in believing we could simply delete a testing related object file (line 448 in spec file) and not bother about potential ramifications. I will fix this today, but we do not need to modify cmake files installed by the package manually. We try to stay as close to upstream as possible.

Thanks for reporting. Would appreciate a bugzilla.o.o report for issues like these in the future.
