Thanks for the sr. However, this: BuildRequires: python2 seems unnecessary.

It is necessary. Some of the build scripts depend on python. I am sure it can be removed, but my priority is to get more language binding working, esp python.

Specifically, they depend on python2, do they? That seems odd to me, esp seeing that it only builds python3 modules (when enabled).

From a (very!) quick look at the build files, I don't see any python2 specific commands. Yes, there are a few scripts with #!/usr/bin/env python hashbangs but they can be -- and should be -- replaced by #!/usr/bin/python3 instead.

Having a BuildRequires: python2 is no-go for new packages on openSUSE Factory, I am afraid.

I already said "I am sure it can be removed". And I this wont be going straight to Factory. There is more to be done, but this is a good save-point.

But if you insist that I put lipstick on this pig, I'll do it for you.
