Glade is a RAD tool to enable quick & easy development of user
interfaces for the Gtk+ toolkit and the GNOME desktop environment. The
user interfaces designed in Glade are stored in XML format, enabling
easy integration with external tools. In particular libglade can load
the XML files and create the interfaces at runtime. The DTD for the XML
files is included with libglade, and is also at
http://glade.gnome.org/glade-2.0.dtd. Other tools are available which
can turn the XML files into source code in languages such as C++, Perl
and Python.

GLee provides a simple interface for using extensions and core OpenGL
functionality beyond OpenGL version 1.1, and automates the otherwise tedious
process of linking function pointers. GLee works with both C and C++
compilers.

The OpenGL Extension Wrangler Library (GLEW) is a cross-platform
open-source C/C++ extension loading library. GLEW provides efficient
run-time mechanisms for determining which OpenGL extensions are
supported on the target platform. OpenGL core and extension
functionality is exposed in a single header file.

GLib provides the core application building blocks for libraries and applications written in C. It provides the core
object system used in GNOME, the main loop implementation, and a large set of utility functions for strings and common
data structures.

A library for calculating huge numbers (integer and floating point).

This package contains the libgnome-desktop library that contains APIs
that really belong in libgnome/libgnomeui but have not seen enough
testing or development to be considered stable. Use them at your own
risk.

Also contained here are documents installed as part of the core GNOME
distribution: the GPL, GNOME's .desktop files, the gnome-about program,
some man pages, and GNOME's core graphics files and icons.

The gnome-doc-utils package is a collection of documentation utilities
for the GNOME project. Notably, it contains utilities for building
documentation and all auxiliary files in your source tree. It also
contains the DocBook XSLT stylesheets that were once distributed with
Yelp.

The default GNOME icon theme.

This module contains the MinGW Windows port of the base MIME and application database
for GNOME. It is meant to be accessed through the MIME functions in GNOMEVFS.

MinGW Windows port of the GNOME 2.x Desktop Virtual File System Libraries.

Gnumeric is a spreadsheet application with advanced features and
analytics. It aims to minimize the cost of transition from proprietary
spreadsheets by offering a familiar look and feature set. In addition
to read and write support for all versions of Microsoft Excel
(including reading encrypted files), there is also support for many
other formats including:

*Applix 4 and 5 *DIF *Lotus-123 (wk1, wk2, wk3) *OpenOffice.org (Oasis)
*PlanPerfect (pln) *Quattro Pro (wb1, wb2, wb3) *SYLK *XBase/DB3

Text formats, such as comma or tab separated values, HTML, XHTML, and
Latex, are supported and there are powerful assistants to handle custom
needs.

Gnumeric is part of the GNOME project.

MinGW Windows GnuTLS TLS/SSL encryption library.

MinGW Windows port of the goffice library.

A collection of GSettings schemas for settings shared by various
components of a desktop.

The GNU Scientific Library (GSL) is a collection of routines for
numerical analysis, written in C.

GStreamer is a streaming media framework, based on graphs of filters
which operate on media data. Applications using this library can do
anything from real-time sound processing to playing videos, and just
about anything else media-related. Its plugin-based architecture means
that new data types or processing capabilities can be added simply by
installing new plug-ins.

Gtkdoc is a set of Perl scripts that generate API reference
documentation in DocBook format. It can extract documentation from
source code comments in a manner similar to Java-doc. It is used to
generate the documentation for GLib, Gtk+, and GNOME.

Gtk# is a binding of Gtk+ for Mono/.NET

GTK+ is a highly usable, feature rich toolkit for creating graphical user interfaces which boasts cross platform
compatibility and an easy to use API.

GTK+ was initially developed for and used by the GIMP, the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is called the "The GIMP
ToolKit" so that the origins of the project are remembered. Today it is more commonly known as GTK+ for short and is
used by a large number of applications including the GNU project's GNOME desktop.

Murrine is a GTK+ 2 theme engine, that uses the Cairo vector drawing
library to render widgets. It features a modern glassy look, is elegant
and clean on the eyes, and is extremely customizable.
